It's really a sad, sad today for us Filipinos. Everyone was shocked with Manny Pacquiao's being knocked out by Manuel Marquez. We didn't really see it coming.
The mayor of Masantol, Peter Flores treated his constituents with a free viewing of the live coverage of Pacman-Marquez fight. As expected, the Masantol Covered Court was jam-packed with fans who are predominantly males.
The crowd was cheering for Pacman though felt a little nervous when Marquez knocked him out in the second round but like a wounded soldier, Pacman redeemed himself by knocking out Marquez during the third round(?) I don't remember but based on the announcer's analysis, Pacman owned the next few rounds.
On the sixth round, Pacman was hitting Marquez in the right places as if he was so desperate to knock him down. Marquez was 'bugbog-sarado' as Masantol viewers were screaming 'Kay Pacman na 'yan' like hell.
Then, OMG, only a second left on the sixth round and we couldn't believe what we saw - our hero, THE Pacman was KO'd by Marquez!!!!!!! What happened next is.... WE ALREADY KNOW!
It was really a heartbreaking loss.
But enough with the heartbreak. This post is supposed to be fun! So, this is Masantol screaming for, cheering for & crying with Pacman.
To CONG. MANNY PACQUIAO, you will always be the greatest boxer for us!
